Chelsea Fire Station

Hand-painted “water-colour” mural along The Kings Road, London, Spring - Summer 2024

Sian has been commissioned by Sloane Stanley to create a 30 x 4 meter painting along Chelsea Fire Station, taking up a prominent and busy part of one of London’s favourite shopping streets. The mural will be in situ, in the heart of Chelsea, for 3 months commencing March 2024.

The piece is all about celebrating the abundance of all the amazing foods that nature provides and the ingenuity of what humans do with it. From wheat to croissant, from eggs to pavlova. Sian’s love of nature and delicious things is at the heart of this piece.

In the clients own words:

Sloane Stanley are delighted to be supporting local artists by helping them create great art on the King’s Road. In December 2017 we identified an area that was falling into disrepair next to the Chelsea Fire Station.

With the co-operation and support of the building owners we have provided an art space where artists can paint large scale murals. Financial support from Sloane Stanley enables the scene to change periodically throughout the year giving many artists an opportunity for the first time to paint on such a large canvas.

This community initiative has been a great success with the murals being loved by locals and visitors alike.
